7 Things You Should Know About Larry.

  1. He was introduced to mountain biking in 1988 as a bicycle courier in downtown Ottawa, ON. and began honing his skills on the trails in the Gatineau Hills of Quebec. He won his first local race and was hooked on pushing his limits on a bike.

  2. He raced on the provincial, national and international level from 1989 to 2003, scoring 3 National titles, a National series title and a North American title in downhill. He was named to the Canadian National DH team in ‘93, ‘94 and ‘95 and represented Canada at 5 World Championships.

  3. In 1997 he was part of the original group of Freeriders that starred in Kranked 1 “Live to Ride”, the first mountain bike movie to showcase the ground breaking riding that was happening in BC. He was part of one the first freeride mountain bike teams in the world, the K2 Zero Gravity Team. He travelled from South America to Austria to the high peaks of BC filming and photo shooting for magazines, movies and TV shows.

  4. Starting his family in 1999 he moved to the other side of the camera after earning a diploma as a Graphic Design and Media Specialist. Working for Freeride Entertainmment he helped produce the critically acclaimed New Word Disorder freeride mountain bike 10 movie series.

  5. In 2001 he was asked to judge the first ever Freeride mountain bike contest; the REDBULL RAMPAGE. He subsequently judged the next 8 Rampage events up until 2016. In this time he was also a judge on the FMBA tour judging Slopestyle events including Whistler Joyride, Highland Bike Park Claymore Challenge and the Bearclaw Slopestyle Invitational.

  6. Now a OG legend in the Freeride scene he has been featured as the Helmet Guy in “The Moment”, a documentary about the origins of the sport. He was also recently highlighted in “Nothing’s for Free” a documentary on the history of freeride mountain biking.

  7. Larry still cant get enough of ripping trails, grinding out epics and launching jump runs. He tried an ebike in 2018 and then bought his first in 2020. He still tries to find time when ever he can to get out for a rip with his buds and is probably dreaming right now of his next big adventure.
